Retrofit pictures!

So I figured I would start a thread to house a few hundred pics I'm going to have for the retrofits!

I have 4 sets of headlights here right now, so I started with those! 2 need paint, so I cracked those last night / this morning and starting the painting process. (2 more sets coming in on Tuesday, and 3 more coming.......later this year!)

Set number 1 - 2010 Ram Quads, Bezel painted Deep Water Blue, bowls and shrouds painted gloss black.

Set number 2 - 02-05 Ram, color matched Flame Red

Of course..........I'll have LOTS more pics as I crack more heads!

I need to stop doing these............each time I paint a set I REALLY start thinking about what color I want for my next truck. And yeah, that blue is SWEET. The paint is NOT cheap though. Duplicolor doesn't make a perfect match spray for it, so I had to get it mixed and put into aerosol cans. So.......its about 6 times the cost. Well......2x if you figure out how much paint you get (3 cans vs 1 - they don't mix anything less than a pint).

jeremy the pm's i sent earlier scratch that idea, im gonna wait a lil while then put some cash together and have a set of these done they look so much better and ill set something up for a new set to be done, that way they are brand new with nice clear lenses....and maybe something else to set em apart from the rest....

Hell, I was sent a pic of the projectors with halogen bulbs in them tonight.....its not bad. Get rid of the cost of the HIDs.........I'd have to really figure out the wiring part - as the H1 bulb is a single filament bulb.

yeah........thats halogen.

Opens up some possibilities............new lights, projectors and halogens - about 350? nab some HIDs when you get the $$, or keep it halogen. whatever works for ya.

yup, and I didn't get as much done today as I wanted to. Guess its good that I have some time tomorrow to work, and I have Mon and Tues off work as well. The paint is taking a smidge longer than I want. The next 4 will go much faster!

Nah.......no rush. The HID kits won't show up until probably 5PM Monday, so - no need to rush through anything.

I won't. Unless I sold the ones I have...........but I am hesitant to do that - those are my "working prototypes" (ie, they are hacked).

I am not the only dude doing this, theres a few of us out there. I'm just a pic *****. I'm not really big on the "company" thing. I do this in my "spare" time and its something I enjoy. If I make a company.......its a job then. Fark jobs. LOL
