I have another set of 4th gen heads open on my table now. These are going to be a nice slick setup too...........mineral gray and satin black.

my anonymous set.

07-08 - this will be the last time you see them in chrome. I'll keep it secret whats being done to these.

This is the second set of 07-08s that I have touched, the first being the set that Wendy rocks now (which were on my truck for about 8 months). All I remember........is the first time I did mine........it took me about 6 hours to open them. I got these open today in 3 cookings (1 for the first, 2 for the second). Not nearly as bad as I remember them being!

Anyway, just a few pics of the lights with the lens removed, and the difference of the minis vs the full size shrouds in the larger 06-08 headlights.

Depends.......LOL - sometimes I forget cuz I sniff too much paint. Its hilarious when I blow my nose after a good day of painting.......one day I painted I used a white primer and painted a red and blue set that day. I had patriotic boogers later.

So.......today I painted 4 shrouds, 4 bowls (reflector bowls in the headlight housings) and 6 bezels. All were primed, and shot with color. Took me about 5 hours............FUN

Just finished checkin out that thread on DT, that's a sexy TRX. I have to say I really like the two tone on that truck and the headlights are a nice contrast against the blue imo.

Does painting the little divider trim inside hurt the light output at all as long as you leave the reflector bowls alone?

painting the bezel has no impact on light output. Painting the reflector would be ********.....if there is no projector in it. (for the headlights that is, who cares about the turn signals)

Yea that's all I was concerned about, the reflector would be ******** as you said lol
