hi all. currently in the process of installing my new lights from retroshop. i emailed jeremy but got a return email saying he would be out of the shop until the 15th and i already have my front end apart. i was trying to use his guide but it doesnt quite mesh up with what he has for materials vs what i was sent. i screwed around for a bit and got everything connected on the drivers side minus these 3 guys. i also see on his install page that there was a ground. unless the tech has changed and doesnt require i ground anymore? no wires in my kit have stacons on the end so???

What type of setup did you get from Jeremy? I know i had a similar set of wires for my fog lights that were for the halos themselves.

If you just got HIDs, are those wires from the bulbs themselves or from a harness? If you got a full blown headlight/fog light retrofit, are the wires connected to the housings?

He mentioned something about going to the dealer before. To get the halos operating properly on the right settings. If my light knob on the dash is on auto. I dont have lights at all. Same with the the O symbol. But the halos turn on with =|)(|= symbol is selected. And the halos and projectors turn on with the last setting on the far right. So it looks like im gonna have to get that fixed.

The O makes sense since that's just having the lights off. When you're in Auto, it might not be dark enough for the sensor on the dash to trigger your lights and halos to turn on. the symbol you mentioned is for your parking lights (normally just the signals on and no headlights on). Switch all the way to the right is basically the manual way of turning on your headlights

Of course, if it's dark and you still have no lights coming on when set in Auto, then there may be something else going on that will require the dealership to look at it

Yea it doesnt get dark enough for auto for 1.5 hours. But if my halos are my DRLs they should be on when autos engaged? Also dash lights indicate left and right turn signals are out.

For the DRL's, I can only assume as I don't have DRL's on mine.

As for the turn signal indicating being out, by chance are your headlights the projectors and did you get the switchback mod added?

Yes. It was an option i chose. But what does it entail. Parts wise. His guide was a bit different from what i had recieved personally.
So i just messed around until i got everything connected. Only works one way.

Hmmm.... so, I have a set of the TYC projectors that I asked Jeremy to upgrade the projector to FX-R, install the switchback mod and also add just the white halo and strips. when I received my headlights, the only wires I had out the back were to hook up the HID's to the ballasts as he had wired the halos already inside the housing. With that setup, the EVIC does say that the turn signals are out when I have the parking or headlights on (when the white switchback is on). I don't see the message when the lights are off. Even with the error, the lights function perfectly and there's no actual hyper flashing with them.

So I have an idea of how much more I might be able to help, can you let me know what you ordered and how it was setup when you received it (i.e. what wires out the back)?

Gatling 2.0 projectors. 50w. Halos with LED switchback. My mirror lights and arrows inside are hyperflashing. The halos sre not. The i had to cut off the factory turn signal clip and wire it to the halos. One black. White and yellow wire. I tested it before i finally soldered and wrapped it.

But damn do they ever work. Need some aiming thougj

Great output!! And now I understand about the halo's being the switchbacks!

sounds like you got them all sorted out. Enjoy the lights!
