Started rig on Friday. Backed up to barn and loaded hay. Moved forward, parked, and loaded horses. We drove to the horse camp about 120 miles away. I pulled into our pull-through spot, went to adjust how I parked, shifted selector to "R", and there was no reverse. No warning-no noises-no indication anything was wrong reverse was just gone. My son (Gave me the truck) says it is a billet transmission and was a rebuild about 5 years old from Garman (spelling??) out of Georgia.

Service manual includes linkage adjustment, but that would mean the drive ranges would be out of whack. My guess is a stuck valve. Any ideas or quick fixes?

I would start by replacing the fluid, filter and tightening the bands. Most of the time, when reverse goes out, the forward gears soon follow, so you can maybe get it back by servicing it.
