I was at a truck pull last weekend and I noticed one of the trucks has the LED brake lights that I have. When he put it in reverse, the bulb color was a light green/whitish color. I was thinking about painting the bulb light green but then also thought about painting it light blue? Thoughts?

im confused! were you asking if those parts stores had that kind of paint?

you can usually find the testors paint at a hobby shop or online. idk if a parts store would have transulencent paint, but ive never looked for any before.

do you think pepboys, autozone or advanced would have this? or would my best bet be to buy a light blue of this kind of paint over the internet?

no i would highly doubt it. if you have a hobby lobby or micheals store near you they would probably have it or any hobby shop more than likely

im sure there is other kinds out there, or maybe take some regular blue spray paint and clear coat and spray equal parts in a tupperware bowl, mix together and apply with a small artist brush. i painted the headlights on my old truck doing this.

There might be some film you could do also. Hit up some local tint shops to see what kiind of films they have or can get.

I'm gonna check right now if we have any type of transparent paint or if I can find any somewhere around here. If not I will get tint. How much should I expect for tint? It's like a 3" x 3" square for the reverse lights on both tail lights..

I got a roll that was like 50+ inches. I may have some extra lying around that would cover that area. Let me know what route you are going with and I can ship it to ya (would fit in an envelope so more like mail to ya)

Interesting idea...I'm about to use some old ballasts I have and actually put HIDS in my reverse lights...that should light things up.
