My truck tent came today. They said the tent would not fit with tonneu covers, but I had to see for myself.

I have a Access Custom A25040229 snap in bed mat for 6.4 rambox, and a twin foam pad for under my sleeping bag. I have a Bakflip G2 hard tonneu cover that when folded up gives me a 16" deep shelf that I can set my Mr Buddy heater and stuff on. The ram boxes on the sides add seating or shelf space too.

The rain fly is installed. The fit at the rear of the tent is just a little short, with the tail lights stretching the fit a bit, but overall, it don't affect the door zipper operation any. It just looks overstretched.

Overall, the fit is pretty good.

It's tall enough that I can almost stand up all the way, but I can sit on the ramboxes inside to put my shoes on easily. Oh, thats my Polaris 500 4 wheeler to putter around on. Needs some carb work though.

Test fit the tent today, off to Elk Camp tomorrow!

Thread resurrection.

How is this holding up for you?

I have a trip from Washington to Ouray, CO coming up either later this summer, or may wait until early summer next year. I need something that will hold up to a couple weeks of use, perhaps even periodically moving the truck (slowly and not far) at camp.

Does it ventilate heat well? Is it durable enough to survive moderate wind? How tall can you be in this before standing is an issue?

It would be just me (5'10", 300lbs) in my 5'7" bed laying most likely straight with gear on one side laying on a skinny twin air mattress.
