First off I want to start by saying I am new to the forum and new to the Ram. That being said I have a had my 2014 Ram Crew Cab Big Horn for about 8 months. So on the 17 June I will be dropping my truck off to get the following done.

RCX 6in lift
35x12.5x20 Toyo AT II ------x5
Mayhem Warrior 20x9 offset 0 ------x5
Lund Fender Flares painted to match
MBRP dual exhaust
Superchip Flashpaq
Window visors
N Fab cab length bars

Now my question is about the offset... I am trying to get that wide stance look where my tires stick out about an inch or two but I am concerned that I won't achieve that look. Someone who is good with rims please help me. Especially because the amount of money I am throwing at my truck in 5 days.

Also has anyone used RCX led bars yet? If so what are you thoughts... I have about another 1500 I can still throw around at this build and was either thinking an Led bar or getting rid of the halogen headlights for something else.

Thoughts?

Update:

Switched my rims to 20x10 offset -24 no extra charge.

Now 37s with 3.21 gears and 8 speed tranny. Thoughts?

Are you looking at a 0 offset rim? That won't put you out 1-2inches. You have to get a -12 or -24 that will put you closer to how far your flares stick out.

A 20x10 rim with -24mm offset would give you that nice wide stance you're looking for...

My 35x12.50 stuck out on a 20x9 0 offset. Not alot cause I don't like the **** sticking way out. My 13.50s now are perfect to me on the same rim.

Do you have bilsteins or any other adjustables up front? If so, ditch the 35s idea imo.

No no adjustable at all... I have thought about it and running 37s but my 3.21 gear setup... just dont want to do it... once I figure out a good way to do both axles for new gears then I will look at that.

So I am going to go to the shop on Monday and talk with them... honestly the tires should be mounted already so i might ask them to throw the truck up real quick so i can really look at it, but I am thinking probably that -12 offset is what I need. Thanks gents. I will post more once i get her done.

I think people make wayyyyyyy too big of a deal about the gears. I have 3.55s on 37x13.50x20s and cruise at 70 at 1500-1600 rpm. Little power loss off the start, but who gives a ****? Unless your 17.

No I am not 17. That being said I called the shop and they switched out the rims to 20x10 -24 offset... if I end up not liking the way 35s look I will have them put 37s on. I am excited can wait to see what she looks like on Friday!

Lol not saying you are. Just saying I don't know who else would care how fast their truck takes off from a red light. I've seen people say no way with 3.55s and 37s. I have zero issues with mine.

That's good....those -24 20x10's will give you the look you wanted with flares. And if your just doing a basic 6" lift no bil's the 35's will look just fine.

I got ya. I am not really worried about the power. I guess I really want to see what it looks like because no one where I live has anything lifted. If I end up not liking it I will swap out for 37s and put some adjustables on. Which I am sure that's what I will end up doing.

I believe you'll get some though, don't think you're gonna like the rake taking away from the look of your lift.

Good choice... you'll be much happier with that set up... and you're right about 37 inch tires and 3.21 gears... there would be a noticeable difference in get up and go... You'll be pleased with what you're going with...

I just look at it as if I don't like it I can always add in the blistens and 37s either that day and have them change it or down the road... I know the price difference is only around 500 or so with parts and then another 150-200 for labor... I would rather take that money now and either upgrade my alpine system or throw on some lights from retro shop just not sure if I want to through another 1500 into lights. Oh decisions decisions.

8 lbs a tire will be noticeable?

Guess it's what you like. I had 35s with just bilsteins so I don't know why in the hell I'd keep them on with a 6"lift added to that.

You're the expert here, obviously...

Your opinion aside, I'm sure the OP realizes increasing overall tire diameter while adding weight to each corner will have an impact... simple physics really...

But please, go on and theorize for us how 37 inch mud tires on 3.21 gears will show zero decrease in performance... I'm sure it will be riveting, if not down right comical...
