As I’m still waiting for my KO2’s to come in so I can have them put on, I had a question for you guys. Has anyone had issues with balancing, specifically on the stock 20” Rims? I’m asking because I had an issue with balancing on my journey when I replaced the factory tires. I took the car back to the shop probably 4 times because of vibration/balancing uses. After no luck and the shop blaming it on something wrong with the suspension, I decided to return the tires and go to a different shop and get a different tire. Having the same issue with the second set of tires my next trip was to the dealer (was still u see warranty) they suggested I spend more money and get a rod force balance. I was reluctant because I thought it was a gimmick, I’ve never heard of it. But left with no choice I agreed to it and it ended up being the issue all along. I put KO2’s on my 03 with 20’s and didn’t Necessarily have a vibration issue. So I guess I’m just wondering if you’ve done it on your ram.

I put 35x12.50s on my stock 20s and had no issues. Mine were balanced with the little sticky weights that go on the inside of the wheel

Road force balancing works well as long as the operator knows how to work with the balancer and follows its guidance. The machine should also be regularly calibrated. It matches light/heavy spots on the wheel with light/heavy spots on the tire, balancing the assembly.

Spin balancing is fine, but think of road force balancing as fine tuning the balance of the assembly. It’s especially important with LT tires and up because there is almost always heavy spots in the tire that can produce vibrations on the highway.

Well I just called and canceled my order with the tire shop that I’ve used before and know they don’t do road force balancing. They are taking forever to get the tires in stock. I went with America’s Tire, Called them up, they DO road force, and they seem a little more knowledgeable. It’s about $100 more, but The benefits are better.
