Roar in driveline when barely accelerating.

I have a 98 ram 1500, 4x4, 5.2L... When I am accelerating my truck roars when I first touch the pedal. When I let off the pedal to coast or if I push the pedal further, the roaring stops. Anyone have this problem or know a solution? Thanks.

Does it do it when cold? Because my truck does this when it's really cold outside and I've attributed it to the clutch fan.
