I just installed the RONGJI 4+64GB Car Radio Stereo to replace my little am/fm/siruius box on tradesman 2018 1500. Love the screen and possibilities. The instruction manual not very useful. I also attached an adaptor cable harness and now can see backup on big screen instead of little image on rearview mirror.
The google maps /android auto app working via a combination of wifi and blue-tooth with the phone. I'm trying to figure out what I need to make the connection via the center console usb port. there's some usb cables that connect to back of unit but I get nothing when I connect that directly to phone. Very happy with unit but I'm not a high tech guy and has a bit of a learning curve. Any suggestion from someone with same unit appreciated.

Someone recently had this issue. If you search the forum you should find it. I think the solution was the replacement board for the factory USB and I think it's made by PAC. If you can't find the thread post back here and I'll help look it up tomorrow (I think I'm in that thread if that helps your search).

Edit: I believe this is what you need...

Not sure if you saw my edit but the link I posted should be what you need to get it working.

For some reason my center console usb ports not working at all now, not even to charge phone. But the good news I hard-wired one of the usb cable/harness that came with radio to front. Working well with android auto now without that off and on spotty wifi connection I had.

On your factory radio their is a grey mini USB plug that is what is used for the data connection on your OEM USB hub. I thought it would still charge without that connection but it's possible that is the issue.

Thanks. I connected appropriate harness on new unit to that grey plug. No luck. Probably because I'll need that new center console usb port you showed me.
But there was another slot for additional usb and that's doing the trick for now. At least I can get the carplay/android audio via a hard line usb.

Honestly if you wanted you could hook up an AAwireless dongle to the USB your using and tuck it away in the glove box or behind the radio. I'm very happy with wireless Android Auto with it.

I'd check the fuse for the center console power.

Thanks. I was looking for that fuse. (one that says for usb ports). The only thing close is
F104Fuse Power Outlets (Instrument Panel / Center Console). My center console has no "power outlet" just 2 USB ports and an AUX. I disconnected the USB box and reconnected just for the heck of it. No luck.

How do you access or change settings like lights or horn when locking the door or other settings such as HVAC now?
