I’m getting the itch to do something different with my truck. Was poking around on the web and found these SAE compliant fog light pods from rough country.

Seems like they are new. I say that because I cannot find much about them online. No videos and not much for review. Says a pair is 2400 lumens and there is a total of 4 pods so it sounds promising.

Does anyone out there have any experience with these? Wanting to know how they perform. I love my rough country light bar but it’s not SAE complaint. I am also wanting to throw on some yellow lamin x like I have on my Morimoto fogs but the lens shape seems like it would be difficult to get the film to stick.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. 802ecaad8abc1f5351921c7558e93169.jpg7afe5032b231d3969a34d0fb5f294706.jpgf2eb7bf84861ea502797abf5a1f320a7.jpg

I have a similar setup but that bracket was only about $35. No longer for sale though from what I have seen.

Also purchese the pods for about $20 per pair.

The light output is very good though.

Yeah but do they have the same optics as these making them street legal. For 20 bucks I doubt it. I was wondering how their output is

I have that set up bought the bracket off amazon for $40 and the wiring 2-1 harness was like $8. just used some cheap lights to get up and running. i am going to switch to baja design SAE approved light after this weekend seen some pretty good reviews on those.

Do you have a link to the lights you’re getting?

I have a similar design set (2). I bought them from Amazon for $100 and mounted them in my ICI Trophy bumper. I drive with them on almost every time I don’t blind oncoming traffic. They have a nice cutout for the price.

I ran this exact setup for a bit. No complaints other than the finish of the lights faded a little quicker than expected. Excellent light output with these too. 97e539022bcf219627ce9050df20358a.jpg
