This piece of rubber keeps lifting off the glass on my 2012. At highway speeds, it flaps and makes a lot of noise. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix? I've tried windshield adhesive and E6000 glue, but neither have held. Its temping to cut if off!

aren't those tapped into place with a rubber mallet?
If so, I don't see how. I *think* there's a connector missing between the rubber piece I'm holding and the lateral rubber weather strip.

Both sides of mine are disintegrating in the Florida sun. I want to replace the cowl rubber ends but they appear to be part of the $300 cowl cover which I do not want to replace. I have found weather stripping to fix the bottom edge of the windshield but these ends look worse in person vs. photo.

I will cut mine off at the cowl and attempt to find a replacement. I think the Chevy ones are replaceable but doubt they will fit even if modified. There is a piece of rubber that tucks under the end that goes up the windshield about 1 inch as in my photo.

Ask Benny if he has a solution.

Cheapest one found. It is aftermarket though. $250 with free shipping.

@swagfu bought one, but, he has not installed yet. Waiting to hear how the install goes and then I'll probably get one.

I found an adhesive that holds the rubber to the glass - Permatex Ultra Black Gasket Maker. I cleaned both the rubber and glass with brake cleaner, then applied a good amount of the sealant to the rubber and taped it to the windshield for 24 hours. I've traveled about 400 miles and its still holding!
