Coasting engine braking "releases" and truck accelerates with no throttle input. Occurs randomly. Present in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear settings.
Fuel mileage bar graph usually maxed when coasting with no throttle, then registers 10 when engine braking stops working. As if the throttle was open.
For instance, engine will be at 2,000 rpm or so when coasting down hill, then "release" and rev up to 5,000 rpm or more, before I have to use brakes. After 10 to 20 seconds the engine braking resumes, and truck slows down. This cycle will repeat.
2024 Hemi 5.7 Classic 8 speed no etorque.
Dealers cannot find any problem.
