As posted fuel sync, time to plug it into a Drb scanner. Is this a performance crate motor or just a rebuild?

sorry i know this post is old but the truck still does it from time to time and its usually around the time it rains... it is just a stock crate motor and also what is a drd scanner

A DRB scanner is the Mopar vehicle interface, like the Tech-2 for Chevys.

When you put the new engine in you needed to relearn a couple things into the PCM for it to run correctly. Fuel sync being the biggest, others include APPS relearn, and fuel trim reset. The last two you can do yourself, but the most important one you need to take to the dealer or a specialty shop that deals with enough Chrysler products to have one. It costs about 80-100 for the Fuel sync depending on dealer or specialty shop in my area.

If you haven't done fuel sync yet, this will get you close. From here it can be fine tuned with the dealer scanner

Exactly what it's doing now, not stay running.

it does stay running most of the time its just every so often it will have a spell where it seems like it might be in limp mode
