rusty fender help!

anyone have any ideas how to fix the bed fender rust issues? dont have the money to by a new bed so thats out of the question. cut rust out maybe? bondo? any ideas would help!

ok i need to see how bad is it some times you jus need to grind to be able to fix and some other need to be cut and weld

fixed it to the IMG tag, but there you go!

I don't know the cost of repairing it or the cost of fender flares but you could maybe cover it up with fender flares for now. I've seen some threads where its been fixed but comes back in a short time.

there is a product for stopping rust then it could be covered with fender flares. I know ramhunter9 has used it

If it was MY truck here's what I'd do


Cut out the rust

Weld in patch

Coat the **** out of it in Line-X/Rhino Liner/Hurculiner etc.

Get fender flares

Be happy.

This is exactly what I'm going to be doing. Your rust looks like mine, and my local body shop guy told me to do this as well because if he were to fix and paint it then it would be back in a few months. Here is what mine looks like.
