It's brushless though. I've had reservations about buying anything from their brushless lineup after seeing some YT reviews smoking up circular saws and sawzalls. I have a bunch of the old school 18v, but no brushless yet.

Do you know if they've fixed that particular issue?

I Have that Impact and works pretty good !
Just make sure to use a torque wrench when done on lug nuts ect

I haven't had any issues with their brushless stuff.
I have this impact and it's been flawless. - it's basically a Milwaukee and Ridgid in different colors.

I do have a weed wacker that is brushless, that didn't like sitting for a year, but once moved it worked fine.

I have beat on the brushless sawzall and it's been bulletproof.

Not sure if they are still on sale at the local Home Depot but I got mine just before Christmas for 149.00
