SC 3865 review

I recently bought this from ODJ before he left and got a damn good deal. Thanks ODJ!
Now unfortunatly i left for cali for a week right when i got it. And had to wait a week to install it.
Got back and had to install the 87octane cause the gas. The power increase was awesome! And so i drove untill my 1/4 was gone that same day cause i needed to get that 93 octane tune. When i installed that. Man oh man. Grinning ear to ear! What really surprised me was the top end acceleration. 20x better then Stock. And every shift point was quick and you can feel the truck just lunge forward just from the shift.
The only thing i HATE about this is it got me in the mood to just mod mod mod. Im lucky i have a job or id be broke! Lol. Needs to go faster!
I havnt gone too far into the tuner itself. But i like how you can changd the little things, like tire size/idle.
And a cool thing about it is, im the guy that lets the car warm up before i go, when the engine is cold it throws the idle up to 1000rpm. And it warms up faster. That was just with the stock tuning.

So i would recomend this to anyone. It really unlocked my truck.


Edit: before the tune i was running 350ish miles to the tank. I was at 350miles with 1/4 left. It pays for itself!

Did you tune the trans? that wakes her up a decent a lot too

No, all i did was the stock 93octane tune and that was it for now, im playing around with it till i know more.

I changed mine to the sc tunes. only thing that bugs me is it down shifts at 50 when i gotta slow down

Glad you like it! especially when Gas is high you can run the Lower 87 Tune (also flexable option if running the 6.1 Cam vs the C. Spartan in my case).

You Meant 91 Tune though Right ? not 93, or are you running 93 Fuel on the Tune.

Yea, meant the 91 tune. But i run 93.

Thats what I Thought. Cool. So whats next? Stage II Valve Body or HD Shift-Kit, e-fan or shorty Headers are some things to consider too!

Getting the easy mods out the way first! But my next mod is LT headers. Efan is there somewhere.just gotta learn more about it first. Can check put my other thread with what i want my next few mods.
