I have been so pleased with my '19 Laramie. I've had none of the problems others have encountered. My first Ram after 20 years in the same Ford F-250. Then on Monday the 8.4 monitor went white with squiggly colored lines and then totally black. Headed straight to the dealership. Told me they had to try a software update before they could consider replacing it. Ok, I understand. Well, the update fried the system and they actually had to get into the back of the system to turn it off, because it wouldn't shut down and would drain the battery.

So, they ordered a new system. Well, today I noticed the dash was damaged, with the worst part being a cut between the glovebox and faceplate. Called service dept. and they are already saying they couldn't have done it. I am thoroughly disgusted. I can deal with the screen fix, but to have to fight to get my dash fixed is taking a lot of luster off my 6 month old truck.

Just venting, but I work hard to take care of my stuff. Don't expect the dealer to damage a new truck and then deny their responsibility.

Sorry to hear of your awful experience, it sucks that it's so hard to find good/honest service anymore. Care to share the dealership name so others know who to avoid going to?

Call customer care they will get it fixed stomp your feet loud enough and they will listen. Ask me how I know . I own 3 fca vehicles and have always owned fca vehicles so when I call in they submit pretty quickly. If you do have really big problems message me and I can give you a number to an executive resolutions person that makes dealerships jump as high as you want.

Quick update, new head unit installed. Working fine. Also, got the dash issue resolved with no hassle. Thanks for the responses.

You mean.... you mean... im not the only one who has issues with a car dealership!???? IM NOT CRAZY!??????

I feel your pain and it makes me feel comforted to know youre suffering with me (not that i want you to suffer, but it shows me im not alone here).

I get heart palpitations when I go to the dealership because i KNOW theyre going to **** me off about something. Last year I got my oil changed. Oil fingerprints EVERYWHERE on the inside of the car. They denied it. BUT!... I took pictures of the cabin just before I dropped it off. Such liars. UGH!

My screen just went black today. Lets see how many lies they give me:eek:

Just take a look around this forum, if misery loves company, there is plenty of company here. In fact the time you hear of a reasonable or, dare I say a good experience at a dealer, you have seen the exception to the rule.
