I have a 2021 1500 Limited that i have had since February and have noticed that when i start the truck the drivers seat ventilation automatically comes "on" - it seems this is the default position but i can find nothing in the manual that would confirm that ON is the default setting. I then have to go through the Controls menu to turn the seat off - no big deal but a little annoying to have to do this every time if I dont want the ventilated seat on.
So my questions is - is the "on" setting the factory default and is is there some way within the menu settings to have it default to "off"?

thanks

If it’s hot outside(not sure exactly what temperature RAM considers HOT) the cooled seats always come on when I start the truck on the lowest setting and that’s been the case with all three of my rams(2015,17,21) all three are/were Laramies.

I think tidefan1967 has solved the question - it is a default setting - thanks. BTW Saban is from West Virginia so send some talent up to WVU please.

There is also a setting in the radio to have the heat/vent and steering wheel heat to come on under certain conditions. It can be activated with remote start or all starts.

Yep, 40 or below and heated wheel/seats turn on, and as Mike mentioned above, anything 80 and above gets the cooled seats (and they should make a cooled wheel too!). Or of course that can be disabled as well.

My question is when it's 40 degrees or below the heated seats come on full power. When it's 80 or above the ventilated seats only come on with the lowest setting...why?!?! I then have to shut it off and turn it back on to get full speed. Not a big deal, just never could understand why...

I wondered that too. On the Laramie I owned with the 8.4" screen, the buttons indicated that the seat ventilation was on high when I remote started, then dropped down to low when I pushed the start button after getting in the truck. Not sure if the Limited behaves the same way since it doesn't have physical buttons for the seat ventilation. I'll have to remember to look at it the next time I remote start when the temp is above 80.
