I installed 2 batteries in a tool box in the bed of my truck but for just installing a second battery then pick up a battery bracket and mount it on the passenger side frame rail, lots of room under there or you can pick up the diesel's battery tray, remove the air box and mount it there. run an isolator between the two batteries with a minimum of 4ga cable.

You have to remove it entirely, the diesel's 2nd battery tray uses some of the mounting points of the gas engine's air box. You could always try to use the battery tray with the diesel's air box but there would be a lot of moving stuff to make it work. I'd recommend just using an AGM battery and putting it under the vehicle where ever yo can get it to fit.

You will undoubtedly need a re-flash, but also you would have to be wired correctly to run 2 batteries. I don't think you would a fire goin down under the hood.

So with AMG battery (such as Optima yellow/red top) we can place it in any position, vertical or horizontal?

Why would he need a re-flash? Voltage is still staying the same.. capacity is just increasing. Wiring is very simple, just needs to put a fuse on the power line from the source.
