Second Third Brake Light Camera?

I see several companies making replacement third brake light housing assemblies that come with a camera for the box and hitch viewing on fifth wheels.

I have a '12 RAM Laramie with the '12 U-Connect. Can this second camera be added and then have a switch that I can change between the tailgate camera and the added third brake light camera?

Also, I've had several backup cameras, factory and aftermarket on several different brand of vehicles and the one on the '12 RAM is not very sharply focused. It's like I'm looking through a foggy glass, just really crappy. Is this typical of the factory tailgate mounted cameras?

Easiest way to add the cargo cam to your 12 is with a Lockpick from eCostaltech.
The tailgate camera might have water vapor in it. This can happen from a direct stream from a pressure washer.

Yes you can. I have a setup that uses a switch. I love it. I have a thread somewhere on here about it. I'll try to find it and paste the link!

I've had it since March and it works great. I like being able to just flip the switc . Plus, if you leave the toggle flipped either way, it goes to the selected camera automatically.
