I searched a few different terms / times and haven't really been able to find anything on this. I have a 2015 Sport Blackout with the self tinting / power / power folding mirrors.

My rear view & drivers side mirrors tint when I enable the option on my radio. But the passengers side doesn't. :hmm: Is this normal? Why would they make the feature but not include all the mirrors? Just seems odd to me. Maybe it's just my OCD but it irks me.

OK ****'s since I was painting my mirror covers I thought I'd show you as to why only my driver side dims at night.

Different glass used altogether.

I bet the dealership changed the glass out - maybe they broke it? The tinting replacement mirrors are probably a lot more $$$

I wish I could get mine to dim, 3 Dagum car seats in the back block just enough light to the sensor and I get blinded by my own mirrors, AGGRAVATING!!!!

But I love my babies. Maybe new 4" lift will help

Well whatever the hell it's called I wonder why my passenger side doesn't on my brand new truck. So I'll be inquiring at the dealership when I take it in next week for the recalls I have as well.

I have a '15 R/T and only the rear view and driver's side dim. I read that specifically somewhere so I knew before I bought it. I can't remember where I read it though. My guess is that the passenger's side is far enough away that the lights in that mirror don't blind you. For what it's worth I have my windows tinted at 15% and drive at night a lot with my driver's side window down and rear slider open. All the lights in the mirrors look about the same when the two are dimmed and I'm looking through the tint on the passenger's side.

My OCD would drive me mental if one of my three mirrors didn't dim

Mine do on my '11 Laramie - maybe this is just a cost cutting exercise by FCA?

I've never heard of only the driver and center mirror dimming - seems like there's a split of people who have all 3 and some have just 2 - maybe it's trim level specific?

Common sense prevails that only driver side needs to be auto dimmed. Research it ;-) RAM realized they were wasting money by doing the passenger side..

These folks are on the right track about the reasoning for this .. But technically there is more reasons. I'd even go as far as to say that they ( RAM) shouldn't have put it on passenger side . Write them, they will explain the reason and its a safety issue primarily.

This is the main reason I asked about it. My OCD goes into overdrive every time I take my RAM out at night.

I also have my windows tinted but it's just more of an OCD thing with me I guess. Maybe I'll look into finding one that dims at a salvage yard. :favorites13:
