sensor? torque converter?

truck has to turn more rpms to get moving when cold - torque converter? is there a throttle sensor on the throttle body? where at?

First thing to look at...

When was the last time the ATF and filter was changed?

Does your truck stll have the check valve in the trans cooler line?

And CEL's?

mine has always been like that.(69k now) just have to let it warm up a couple minutes. i have fresh fluid and a higher stall conv.just let it warm up. thats what i do. and is best anyway.

so, maybe its the check valve.

i guess i should add it did it with the stock conv and the higher stall conv.

fluid just changed a month ago....no oil cooler yet. you can push on the gas and the thing rolls backwards several seconds on a hill and then it kicks in.(when its cold only) transmission was checked out and checked good when i had it serviced but it was at operating temp then....ive heard that one of the symptoms of a bad converter is exactly what im describing.... this dude did some travel trailer towing with it before i bought it. i got under yesterday and see evidence that there is tranny fluid at the bottom of the bell housing like the torque converter is leaking ...may be cracked. this puppy only has 85k on it.... damn i cant believe people dont take better care of their stuff....maybe im just ocd enough to be **** about mine! thanks for the help fellas
