My vehicle is a 2016 SLT with 5.7 Hemi. Mileage is approx 60,000. Just purchased vehicle about a month ago.
first issue:
I have a tick on the passenger side of vehicle which last approximately a minute then goes away. I have already switched my oil to synthetic 5w30. Use RP oil and K&N filter. I believe it may be a magnified bolt issue. I just want to go ahead and replace my headers anyway and take care of the bolts as well. My question is what are good headers that most of you are running. I’m trying to stay below 600 for the headers if possible. I don’t see the need for long tubes since I won’t get into tuning.
second issue:
It’s hot where I live and when I mean hot it’s about 115 degrees outside right now. It can get as high as 125 or more sometimes. So with that said, when my vehicle sits in the heat for a long period of time it’s hard to start. It take a few times of turning the key prior to it starting. This does not happen in the mornings or at night. Only when sitting in the desert heat for a long period of time. Question is does anyone else have this issue or any advice you may have that I can check to locate the issue. This same thing happened to my wife’s 2011 Dodge Durango and we could never resolve the issue.
I appreciate the help and have learned a lot just reading through the threads.
Edit: so a friend of mine, also a Ram owner, pointed out that my tick goes away after a minute of starting, but then when I put it in drive the tick comes back. Now I’m really confused.
