Of course my 5.7 had the broken bolt issue
I put BBK shorty headers on it supposed to fix the problem, it did for a year until the wields opened a good size hole. Did my research and BD Diesel manifolds says they have solved all the problems the original manifolds had.
So I had the dealer install a set on May 21st 2025, boy was I happy.
I’m retired so I don’t drive much, less than 5k a year.
April of 2026 I ended up with another exhaust leak, took it to the shop and the BD Diesel manifolds had warped. They had a machine shop fix it.
Contacted BD and they said they shouldn’t have warped but it does happen, not what their advertising said.
Less than a year and low mileage and they already warped
BD said since I didn’t have the shop take a picture of the warpage I was out of luck, actually I’m out 800 dollars to have it fixed.
Just praying the other side doesn’t warp.

How did the machine shop fix it? Did they resurface the mating face?

I've done 3 trucks and a Durango on the belt sander and havn't had refaced OEM manifolds warp again yet. The most recent set are now 2 years and still not leaking.

I did it on a AWD Durango Citadel 5.7 Hemi, which was significantly harder than on a Ram. There is NO room in there, and it can NOT be accessed through the wheel well. I always keep the OEM manifolds and resurface them, especially on the likes of a Durango. The labor on that sucks so bad that I don't want to ever touch it again.

If the BD Diesel manifolds warped again, even after resurfacing, I'd be surprised. Maybe the thicker casting wasn't fully heat cycled and fully warped into it's final shape when the machine shop resurfaced them.

But, you already own them. Now that they have heat cycled and warped, your all-set to resurface the gasket mating face nice and flat, and reinstall them.

I helped with a 2013 Durango AWD with the Hemi and the mechanic cut the Y pipe to get the manifolds to come out with the heads. It was really tight in there
