Hey all,

I have the Diode Dynamics 35w HID kit and overall been really happy with it. However, my passenger side "shakes" and "bounces" a lot. Really evident on roads with a lot of ice build-up.
I feel like I've checked everything. I pulled the housing, made sure the bulb was seated (sat?) properly, tightened everything down, even the latch on the backside. Alas, the shake resides.
Is there a chance the element in the bulb itself it to blame?
I can stand outside the truck and bang on the housing, but it doesn't replicate the issue.

Could it be the headlight itself? Is the locking tab fully engaged?

I would check the bottom bolt on the housing, as well as the top bolt and locking tab. More likely the housing itself is bouncing than the bulb.

Tapatalked from my expensive "smart" phone.

Yeah, I've double checked everything. I've had these housings in and out at least a dozen times before, so pretty used to the drill.
Think my next step is pulling the bulb and see if there are any issues present.

Are you sure it isn’t the projector shaking? Try swapping bulbs to the opposite sides

I'm not sure honestly. I suppose that could also be the case. You are right, I can swap the bulbs around and drive it around the block; see if the issue transfers.
I'll try to get to it this weekend and report back.

If you can grab the back of the bulb and wiggle it, try adding a second rubber ring from the oem bulb to the hid. Should make a super tight fit.
