Shifter stuck in park, dash indicates reverse pls help

My dad and I replaced a faulty clock springing a 2011 ram 1500 slt 5.7, after putting everything back together, the truck wouldn't start and the gear indicator on the dash says the truck is in reverse. I tried the shifter override and it didnt help

The truck won’t start because it thinks it’s in reverse. Take it apart again and look at the shifting column, screws, etc. Maybe something got stuck?

Some rams especially 2011/12 rfe's the dohocky that rolls along the gear selector shifter linkage comes loose, and it will never go back until you put it back with pin in tact. Dont muscle it, if it is this, you will just break it worse. The pin is not coder, and sometimes works itself free, gear selector shift linkage gets stuck usually in reverse. Find the pin as well, you dont want that rolling around your tranny. There might be two pins, the roller and the pin that failed. Make it coder when you put it back, wont happen again.

If it's not linkage, don't put the trans pan drop to waste, just an excuse to change the tranny fluid. It's nothing really, it's barely more work to drop VB then it is to drop the pan, likely needs new fluid anyhow? Redline c+ is popular around here.
