Shopping for a used 5th gen, how common are 3.92's

I'm shopping for a used '19 or '20 1500 and planning a lift and 35's. I've passed up a handful of trucks that I loved everything about except for the 3.21 gears. How common are the 3.92's and will it take a while to find the right truck with 3,.92's? My requirements are a BH level 2 with painted bumpers, in white, silver or grey, with 5.7 and 3.92's.

Everything but the 3.92's has been easy to find... everything here WITH the 3.92.s has been tough.

The 392s seem to be very common on the HD Rams. Both my 2020 2500 and my 2022 3500 came stock with 392s.

Look at new truck on the lot.
Doubt you see many 3.92's.
Thats how rare the used markets going to be.
More so cause 3.92 owners know what they got, bought it for a purpose and use it for such


2500 and up 3.73 (?) seem pretty common

Lol I would have thought that your other requirements would be hard to find, esp. the BH level 2 package.

I found one on the western side of the state, you may have to travel some. May be more.

I'm looking now and I need a 3.92 for towing. I've looked at Ram.com at all the dealerships in South Jersey, SE PA, and Northern DE. These are new within 50 miles of my house. All BH, 4x4. Didn't include other higher trim lines or used in the search. So you can see there aren't that many. 22 out of over 600. I may end up keeping my Classic with the 3.92.

interesting as 3.92 is not a HD truck option. 3.73 gearing is the standard gears for 2500/3500 trucks, 4.10 is the optional gears

When searching for my 2020 back in early 2020 I had no issue finding a 2020 with 3.92s. Maybe it is my area, southeast. I was looking at loaded Limiteds so that could be why also
