Just ordered a Laramie 2500 CCSB today and looking at steps now. Did not like the OEM steps, so I need to get some ideas. Currently have Amps on my F250 but not do not want to drop another 1300 on those, so I am looking at possibly the Iron Cross wheel to wheels... Iron Cross HD Series Step Bars - Free Shipping!. Please post some pics. Might as well start buying stuff to put on while I wait the 6-8 weeks (hopefully sooner)....

Love mine. FYI, you have to drill one hole on each side of the wheel to wheel, but other than that, bolts right up.

I was personally glad I could adjust them lower than the rocker panel. Easier for the wife & kids to get in. At full up adjustment they get pretty close to the rocker. If you want a little more you could probably notch out the supports more to get more travel.
My only complaint with them is I am not in to the whole black out look so I wish they would also come in polished stainless.

Another set I'm seeing that look pretty cool are Truck Lungs, they have the tube style with hoops like many of these being posted but they are decided to hold are so for someone with a compressor or train horns or anything like that they'd be pretty cool and functional.

I'm not sure why you can't get them tight? I can put mine tight with no problem, righ now mine are down a hair but have plenty of adjustment to go tight.

Maybe the Amp Power step XL will work for you.
They seem like they might not tuck up under the truck like the regular power steps do.

Might be worth looking into.

Here are my Lund 5" oval. They are the solid ends, no plastic caps on the ends. I will add that they have little flex. I'm 260 lbs and they are great. Stepping on the far rear portion can have some flex but the spots over the two doors is solid.

5'' iBoard running boards I picked up on Amazon. $200 and about a 1 hour install. No drilling required. Very sturdy boards.

These are tough country steps. These were the only steps i was able to find that mounted to the body bolts on the frame vs hanging from the sheet metal on the rockers... These steps have little to no flex from them! Rock solid. These are made of 3/16" wall pipe i believe. The steps themselves are in the right locations for where you want to step and are amazingly solid.

sorry i dont have any pics focusing more on the steps...

I also have the Lund wheel-to-wheel, my only complaint is that i think the front step pad is forward a little too far. I find that I step on the metal instead of the pad. They are sturdy otherwise and they mount to the frame.

Not a fan of how they attach to the sheet metal, but they hold my 270lbs just fine.
