Look at these pictures real hard and tell me where it says that I can use 5W-20 engine oil in place of 5W-30. if you’re too ignorant to tell, hopefully you should be able to see that these were taken from the very manual that came with my truck when I bought it. And no, my truck was not made in 2018 it was made in October 2017. I’ll wait. So again you have the audacity to call me stupid? I don’t know what kind of medication you’re on, but you need to talk to your doctor about it.

Seems to me you already are giving them an excuse to deny coverage by not properly maintaining your truck.

How so? I make sure the engine oil that I buy is within spec. And the oil filter. I don’t do my oil changes near at long of an interval is the little oil life meter on my dash tells me too. I take pretty good care of it. I may be a little bit hard on the gas pedal, but who isn’t? And as a matter of fact, my warranty has covered things on this truck, but so far it’s not anything related related to lack of maintenance so, even though you laughed at 4 of the posts I made, I’m still intrigued on how you came up with this half baked opinion.

You're the one who's claiming 5W-30 ,when your manual is stating 5W-20.Just to make sure you didn't try to back track,i quoted your post where you're claiming it says to use 5W-30

Hmm. Not checking and maintaining proper trans fluid level comes to mind.

Of course- my biggest fan @Wild one would like that but well, I guess you just have to understand the language as it’s written in the Mopar MaxCare lifetime warranty contract.

But then again, what’s so hard to understand when it says FOLLOW MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDATIONS?

I guess maybe if you would spend more time reading than laughing, you would’ve seen earlier in the discussion when I said I’ve already consulted my warranty on this and they even assured me that lack of maintenance and not messing with the transmission will guarantee me a new one- sorry, better say new to me or Mr. wild boy will catch me on it….

Well, the owners manual does say it’s a “lifetime” fill, does it not? That’s what MaxCare said to follow when I even asked them so I can’t trust them now? You do realize this is a Mopar service contract that I signed, right? I take it you’ve never had one of these warranties? But whatever, if you say you’ve got oceanfront property in Arizonat then I guess I must believe it.

But you know what, if my warranty does try to weasel out and go back on that they told me, why you worried about it so much? Or are you just trying so desperately to be right?

Quoting a line Twain never even said just to pretend some people’s “advice” made sense is a nice touch. What some said contradicted themselves, and some ignored what I actually wrote.
