Side Step Install ...

Sup y'all, new here. I have a question about installing nerf bars on my 2018 Tradesman ...

the passenger side went on easy once I installed the rivnuts. The driver's side ... not so much. I think it's me though.

There's a triangular shaped piece of metal that bolts from the undercarriage to the rocker panel, and it's in the way of the mounting holes for the steps. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose that I can tell other than supporting two wire harnesses, that can easily be zip-tied to something for the same support. I'm not sure what it's called and I've tried aaaallllll of the google-nation to find it. My question is ...

Is that piece important? Can i take it off to install the bracket for the nerf bars on that side. Is there a work-around? Or am I damned to never have a step on the driver's side, like ever?

HEEELLLP!

Hi Leo, welcome to the forum. I can't answer your question because I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. But I'd like to share a piece of unsolicited advice...when posting questions like this it's always a good idea to include pics. Also, it would be good to include information about the steps you're trying to install. Especially if they aren't Mopar steps.
