Side steps

I have these lovely side steps peeling due to being in the rust belt. Lots of salt during the winter.

Was wondering if anybody has line-x these and how is it against the road grim over time.

I have a set of LineX coated GoRhino RB20 running boards on my 2013.

They've been on for 8 years.

They've faded quite a bit, but still look pretty decent. As far as durability, the stuff seems indestructible.

Even the spot below the drivers door, where I step 5 days a week, twice a day, since 2017, doesn't show any wear whatsoever.

Here's the LineX after 8 years of daily use. This is the most stepped on area, right under the drivers door.

Slightly off topic, but I would compare the price of having your current steps Line-X'd
versus just buying a new set. That is assuming you were going to have a shop do it. To do it right the old steps would need a lot of prep, meaning all of the old coating/paint needs removed, everything scuffed up, and then sprayed.
