its all good...........I'm doing my own now.

I have 1 headlight 1/4 way open. Kiddos are going to bed, so no loud noises (like the fun cracking sound of plastic!) - so I'm going to sit back and relax now. I'm in no rush.......thats no way to get a project done anyway.

I got 'em from the dude on DT, and I knew I shouldn't have done it...........I freakin' knew it. Something told me "don't do it, make 'em yourself" - but I decided to take his..........as it was done. Big mistake.

Here's what I found wrong with them:
- chrome on the inside has black splotches all over it.
- mounting tab broken on 1 light
- poor packaging (which probably caused the one above......)
- projector loose in housing
- shroud's chrome is already coming off
- dirt on the inside of the lens, can't clean that off
- just downright dirty........I'm sorry - clean the parts before you sell them (not a deal breaker, but come on)

I asked for a refund, even saying that I will pay to ship them back. He agreed, but I won't get the refund until Friday (money gone). I'm ok with that, I'll ship them back after I get my refund.

whats really bad? I want the damn things now (well, not this set - thats for damn sure), but I want a set of these! I'm going to pick up the retro kit and do my own. I'll nab another set of headlights sometime in the next 3 years........or make sure that Wendy has a 4th gen by then (so she can buy 'em! LOL) so........I get to bake me some lights soon........LOL - if I play my cards right I can do that for our anniversary again (like I did last year!).......wait, that is next weekend........I better get to ordering!! LOL

That sucks man! Looks like it was shipped USPS? If so, that explains the condition due to shipping. They suck! I wouldn't ship anything that could break USPS. I think they got apes handling the packages that jump up and down on them before loading them in the trucks! lol! Do you have to pay to ship them back?

yeah, USPS. I am paying to ship them back..........against my better judgement.

And I don't think I'll rush to send them back - I still don't have my refund. Got a runaround yesterday. I am trying to be nice, but I have a limit on that.

I've been enjoying the new lights though........not. I remembered how much I hate cracking lights open. I have one open, projector installed and wired up. Just need to plug that one into the truck and test it out. Second light is in the process of opening. I'm taking a break. LOL
