Finishing touches will include a RAM in black in the red area with the LED's.

Toggle switch is mounted under dash and will be tying into my foot well lights when i put those in.

Now If I can just figure out why my amp shuts off when I start whomping on it (around 28-32 volume)

ENJOY!

Yes, seats, center, console, everything still functional.

Awesome. I'm thinking about doing a small system in my Ram. And that's the only place that caught my eye and seemed to be appropriate for a sub.

Really unless you have a decent shallow mount it is the only spot or cut the fiber wall to gain a couple of inches for a setup behind the seats.

Looks nice.

You likely have a poor quality ground, hence your amp is heating up / cutting out.
That or that sub is wired to too low of a resistance and you're over-heating the amp.

Nice work!
You might simply be overheating the amp (with nothing set or wired incorrectly)
IIRC that is a class A/B amp, which draw a lot of current and get HOT.
Adding a small computer fan across the ground and remote terminals of the amp would help.

looks good, however you will get LOTS of flex out of a 1/2" mdf with that sub. IMO it should have been 3/4" believe it or not it actually makes a difference

Nice man.

Does the amp shut off as soon as you crank it up or after it plays for a while? If it shuts off immediately its most likely the sub wired to low for the amp.

Alpine MRV-500 - Amp
Class D 500w x 1 @ 2ohm (RMS)

Alpine Type-R 12 - Sub
Sold as either dual 4 or dual 2 ohm voice coils
Rated up to 1,000W RMS

I hope you have the dual 4 ohm, so you can wire it down to a single 2 ohm load for the amp. Even then, you are WAY under-powering that sub. You amp will clip long before the sub gets near capability.

I'll take a pic of the wiring of the sub when I get home and pull it out of box. I also think it's wired wrong.
