I have a 2018 Ram 3500 dually. How do I know if it has a smart alternator?

I know trucks the alternator is controlled by the pcm by a signal. The regulator itself is in the alternator. I have a voltage readout on the my wideband sensor but it always reads around 14v so not sure about the “smart alternator” thing. Now in my gmc work van the voltage goes down to around 12.6 volts. I know the one in my gmc van is a “smart alternator”.

How do I know if it has a smart alternator?

Look on the negative post of the battery for the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), if you have one it should be a "smart alternator

Look at the battery. If the brick attached to the negative post has 2 small wire leads coming off then it’s the battery sensor. I’m pretty sure it has it. Pretty sure all 4th gens have it.
