I'm missing 2 cylinders
Since I hit the deer a few days ago and ruined one of my headlights, I decided to order a set of halos. Also, on the headlight it says do not use HID's. I kind of want to put HID's in them, they are spyders. Is this not recommended??

The Retrofit Source sells a Morimoto Retro-Quik Kit for Spyder headlights:

It seems like that might be the only way to run HID's in the Spyder lights.

Thanks... looks like im not running HID's lolol
A great alternative to HID's is the Opt-7 FluxBeam-X LED bulbs. Make sure you get the FluxBeam-X as the original FluxBeams are outdated. The X version just came out not even 2 months ago.

It looks like they have the H1's that you would need in stock.

I ordered a set of H11's for my new custom built Quads from RetroShop, but the H11 type bulb is on backorder right now. I took advantage of a 1 Day Sale on Opt-7.com for the FluxBeam-X bulbs for only $95.99 and then I used a 10% off promo code on top of the sale price and got them for $84.55. Then once I found out they were on backorder I emailed customer service and flipped out because at the time I ordered them, they were listed as "in stock ready to ship". They gave me a 15% refund because of the error so now I'm only paying $72 for a pair of H11 FluxBeam-X LED Bulbs lol. They are supposed to be back in stock sometime within the next week but we shall see.

If you want to order them, or anything else from Opt-7.com let me know and I will send you the 10% off promo code I used.

Did you just order 1 set for the lows or did you order 2 sets for Lows and Highs?

Just one set for the lows for now. Im not sure if I'll need the highs because when I'm away at school I hardly ever use my brights

They look like mine, which are Spyder HID''s . Relay, Ballasts and Resistors ...from JJ at The Retro Shop... had a few issues with them, but since JJ hooked me up with the hardware, everything work's perfectly.

So you have a Spyder HID Kit?? Or you have Spyder Headlights with an HID kit from Retroshop?

I've never heard of a Spyder hid kit...

I actually ordered the non HID from the website. .. but they shipped me the HID ones.... I had no intention of dealing with the installation or the common problems with HID's. Both of the orginal Resistors went out on me, had some flickering issues, had both headlights go out on me while on the express way. I was ready to completely replace them, but figured I would try replacing all the hardware, as a final shot. Glad I did, cause I love the Halo look on my truck! Can't say enough good things about The Retro Shop... JJ spent a Sunday night exchanging emails with me, working to find a solution. If you want to run HID's ...send JJ a email.
