Other than that whine I had in the rear end, I was pretty happy with my 6.4. But fun fact.. I drove 6 different 2500-3500 trucks recently 4 of them brand new with less than 30 miles on them..Of the 4 Brand new ones, only the one I bought did not have a noise in the rear diff.. the other one that didnt was a 2017 with 30K on it..

Thanks guys! Have to say Im really surprised over the ride of this truck, especially being brand new and not settled in yet.
For a 1 ton truck with rear leafs, it rides remarkably well. Not quite as good as the 2500 with the coil springs which in my opinion is THE best riding HD truck out there, but certainly better than my sons old 2013 f-350.

That was one expensive oil change..... Tell me where this was at so I can hire that service writer.

Funny Story, got oil change at purchasing dealer and drove a 2017 2500 with the 6 speed manual.. It had issues at 30K miles on it.. But it gave me a taste of what I wanted. I purchased from the dealer closer to home!

I had a 2009 2500 cummins with the 6spd manual. I positively loved driving that bad boy. Wish I still had it.

Nice truck! I'm also pleased with the 3500 ride. I wanted a manual trans really bad, but I had to get as much towing cap as I could with the SRW.

I ran from Maryland to Vermont last weekend, and my avg was a tad over 22MPG! I wasn't expecting that!

congrats. love my 2500 CTD. I've read Hotchkiss helped with the rear re-design on the 3500s which is probably why it doesn't ride like a covered wagon...lol
