Hi,

I have a thread on ideas whether to black this truck out or not. So, could someone black out the grill, emblems, door handles, nerf bars, rocker panels, fuel door, and the bottom of both bumpers for me so I can get an idea on what it looks like? Thanks in advance.

I will probably be doing the flares, rockers, and bumpers in Herculiner with the UV treatment, so if you could make that look like that I would be greatful.

Hey Wermbang, not a problem. We all have lives outside of this, right? I would be grateful for this so I can see what it will look like before I decide what I'm gonna do. Everybody is telling me it will look awesome, so we will see. Thanks in advance.

I agree with you ramhunter on the grill. I had planned on getting one of these with Christmas money, but I hear he has went up on the price, so I'm not sure if I can make the grill happen now or not. As for the herculiner, I read your thread and I will be attempting this on mine, too. I have already started to debadge in prep for this.

Looks money! If you go this route though, head lights and tailights need some work, a little too bright for the rest of the truck. Maybe JJ can help you out with some Retro lights!?! Maybe some like in RH's pic?

Thanks, Luke. So, what do you guys think? I think it looks good. And you guys think my wheels still look okay with this since they have some aluminum on them?

I am planning on tinting the tails and taking the headlights apart and painting them also. I agree that they would be too bright if I left them alone.

Hell yeah! That **** will look "****-bear good!" :********: ...and you can ask around, we don't post the ****-bear just for anything! Wheels look great to me, they don't take away from the color, or any other features on the truck.

Yeah, we'll see how that one goes, LOL! Busy family of four and 17 hours of college courses. Plus on top of that, it's getting cold here already.

Busy family of four should be helping on the truck. Been getting chilly here too, gonna hook up the space heater soon in the garage.

Yeah, you know how that goes. Another question, on my grill. Should I use plasti-dip on it or go with Rustoleum truck bed coating, or just paint? I am worried about the longevitiy of plasti-dip.

My rims, roll bar, and nerf bars are still going strong since April with the plasti dip. If its gets a tear you just respray pretty easy fix

looks good except for the black grill...i would personally leave that color matched and make the inserts black.

The grill is actually chrome from the factory along with the inserts. So, if I go black, it will all have to be to make it uniform.
