Sourcing/questions with regards to head bolts and gasket kits for Cam and Lifter swap.

Hello Everyone,

I know I have made a few threads asking questions about parts and what not pertaining my Cam and Lifter swap. With that being said, I am very close to having all the parts needed. I was leaning towards using this install kit from MMX but was curious if $319 seemed steep for only head gaskets, head bolts, rocker shaft bolts, and a timing cover. I was hoping for a kit with all the other gaskets that come with the other install kits I have seen. I have found some Fel-Pro kits that are pretty affordable. With that being said, I know head bolts and head gaskets are pretty important so I don't necessarily want go super cheap on that but didn't know if you all have found quality head bolts you prefer or if I should just go with OEM no matter the cost? I have found some Fel-Pro Head bolt kits for pretty cheap but not sure id be comfortable using those.

MMX is the only place I have seen where it is recommended to swap out the rockershaft bolts, is this completely necessary or are they saying this assuming people are doing performance upgrades?

Thoughts on Fel-Pro kits?

Damn, zero response on this, that is too bad. I have the same questions. Seems to me gaskets and head bolts for $325 ish is a decent price. I've seen the ARP head bolts going for over $300. For a combined set, although lacking several gaskets the price seems decent. The extra effort to go spec and find The missing gaskets seems to be a total pita.
I'm with you on the fact I'm not looking for lowest bidder, but I'm not so sure I need headbolts for over $300 either.
So what did you decide to go with?
