2015 Laramie 5.7 hemi loaded 112,--- miles... I haven't changed plugs since I purchased / stopped in to dealer to get a price $544.-- for plugs $310.-- labor WOW"
So I went on the hunt for plugs : auto parts stores $ 14.99 ea to 24.49 ea. found a company in Ca. that sells for OEM manufacturers in other words NGK plugs are not a knock off. My 5.7 has from day built NGK LZFR5CI-11 / 92145, there price $10.59 ea., including shipping my buy $188.51. I don't know anything about company other than what i read, you can Google Monarch products inc. [spark plugs] 1-888-800-9629. I'm sorry for waisting your time if this has been posted before...

So your stock plugs went 112K miles. Outstanding! And now you’re trying to find cheap Chinese replacements to save a buck. Just go to the dealer and get OEM replacements. You won’t be changing them again I bet!

As others have suggested, get NGKs from RockAuto. I paid $130 for all 16 a couple of months back.
Same here. Paid pretty much the same price. Hard to beat RockAuto prices, and can usually find a 5% off coupon on the net.

Just checked, $119 for 16pcs. $113 after 5% discount, plus shipping cost.

So that's $230 for labor to install 16 plugs on a Hemi? I don't know how old you are, but I've done plugs on 5.7s five or six times and I find the older I get that $230 becomes very attractive to have someone else do it.

I bought a set from rock auto when I reworked the engine, about 18 months ago. I have had a problem with when I pull up to a stop sign it dies unless the a/c is running. It's at the mechanics now and he is saying the knock off NGK's I put in it are the problem. I didn't notice at the time because they came in an NGK spark plug box but NGK is not printed on the spark plug itself so we will see if the new set fixes it

Rockauto is as legit as any brick and mortar parts house. They're my first stop when looking for anything I need for mine or anyone else's vehicle. They're shopping times are usually pretty quick, while not always amazon quick, sometimes it's pretty close. I went with denso when I put my plugs in. Denso, which were also USA made. If someone got knock off ngk from rockauto, it's possible someone bought cheap knock offs from eBay or Amazon, bought the good ones from rockauto and sent rock auto the knock offs in return to get their money back. Wouldn't be surprised, people try to scam the system all the time.

Plugs? Have your mechanic check/clean the throttle body.

Just for the record i've heard of a few instances lately where guys have got knock off plugs from Rock Auto.
So even Rock Auto can be sucked in

RA drop ships the parts they sell. So they are just the middle man in between you and the many hundreds of companies they deal with. Who knows what your getting and if from a reputable company.

I called Rock Auto twice about the NGK plugs, did a deep dive each time with two different people in customer service and they both told me they just order from a warehouse and could not say for sure they were OEM.
Monarch in Ca. guaranteed me there plugs are direct from NGK as all plugs are factory direct and if I didn't like what I got they would even cover return shipping, so I bought the 16 but because i'm in Minnesota and it's chilly out side I've not installed them yet.

https://www.ngkntk.com/newsroom/blog/emea/fake-or-not/ take a look on that article from NGK on how to tell if you got real plugs or fakes if you want to be sure.

If they are under $8 on rock auto and you paid $10.50 then you didnt get some crazy below market rate and they could be real plugs. The trouble with some companies is they say "yeah you can return them no problem" but then they stop answering the phone or emails when you ask for a return. Hoping you found a good source though.

I'm ready to do my RAM. My buddy worked for Central Florida CJDR and he said the OEM plugs were from Auto lite. He used NGK in his 2016 RAM 5.7L with no issues. Too many darn choices.

Going back to the late eighties, I have only seen Chrysler and Dodge use Champion or NGK plugs. I believe Ford uses Automate like GM uses AC Delco. For some time, the AC Delcos were made by NGK.
