I know nothing about audio. But I know that the stock speakers in my 14' Black Express (5.0 system I believe) are not going to win any awards. I don't want to replace my HU but I would like to get better sound quality. The volume the system can achieve is fine it just doesn't sound very good when I compare it to my home audio set up.

I'm a heavy rock/metal kinda guy.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Best bang for your buck upgrades?

it's not so easy... Do you have a standard CU or upgraded? Called Alpine sth... If it's upgraded then you can have a problem with the upgrade. I hope in a few hours I'll put a post here from my RAM audio with quite detailed description.

If you just want to replace speakers then Kicker is a great option, If you go with the CS3.5" in the dash and either CS6.5 or CS6x9 in the doors the sound quality will be way better. I Ran the CS6.5 in both front and rear doors and the CS3.5 in the dash on my stock 5.0 for a few days before my head unit swap and the sound and volume level were way better.

77kick42 and 77kick41 for plug and play speakers that are for our trucks. They sound great and are an easy choice. There are definitely better but everyone has different opinions and this is the easiest route. All in one spot.

Thanks guys. Are the Kicker "Kick" part numbers Mopar part numbers. I can't seem to find them from any Canadian retailers. Also how would the Kickers stack up against the JL audio C2 line?

Mopar Kicker Audio System Upgrade Package 77KICK42 | eBay

Mopar Front Door Speaker Upgrade 77KICK41 | eBay

You will end up with an extra tweeter if you don't have the 7 speaker setup. I have no idea about the jl audio comparison.

There are other choices that are cheaper than what I posted. Just google the part number. Found a few that were cheaper and ship to Canada.

I used JL Audio C2-600 for about a week until my C3s came in, they sound great but they were on an amp

I just put the 77kick41 set in my front doors, they're definitely way better than the stock speakers, clearer and way more bass, enough to rattle my side mirrors and make anything behind me blurry :naughty: I ordered mine from Allmoparparts (they're a vendor here, should be the sixth one down on the right of the page) I'll be getting another set for my back doors right away now.
