My Speedo is off by about 10%. When I am doing 77mph my speedo is saying 70mph. Stupid dealer said they fixed it yesterday, but its still off.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

Is my odometer putting 10% less miles on my truck?

To answer your question, no. Your odometer and speedo are completely different.

By law, manufacturers are able to have a 10% +/- cushion when calibrating speedometers. It is a huge topic in the motorcycle world. I don't think there is one motorcycle manufacturer that has a legit, accurate speedometer... not that I've seen/heard of, anyway. I'd take it back to the dealer and let them know it's still off, but they may not be able to get it precise like you are wanting. They are just syncing the computer in the truck to whatever they have stored on their computers.

Could always be worse...

This was my '99 Ram, sitting idle at a red light. Best part was, as I accelerated, it counted backwards, ACCURATELY from 120 to what ever speed I was doing (120-65 would be 55, so it'd show 55 while doing 65)...

Didn't happen every day, but it happened enough that I had several shops try to diagnose. No one could figure it out but they all thought it was hilarious. :roflsquared:
