I currently have a McG's 2/4 drop installed. After my latest mod, the exhaust system, I find the rear too low. My goal is to raise it about 2 inches. I am currently waiting for some used Rear springs form a RC to get here and then it will be cut time. Being that I have a Crew cab, I am guessing that a full turn would just about do it, thoughts? ( I realize it's not an exact science, just looking for tips).
also a Spohn adjustable panhard bar is going in too.

Yeah, from what I have read, that's the way to do it. just disconnect shocks and use the jack to let the springs drop out and then trial and error to get it right.

thanks for the response.

I'd start with a 1/2 to 3/4 coil.

With my stock crew cab springs I cut a coil and a half and got 2" drop

If you have 4" drop already, simply lowering the pumpkin should give more than enough room to pull the springs out, without undoing the lower shock bolts.
CUT LESS THAN YOU NEED! Seriously. It's SO easy to take a little more, but the springs are surprisingly expensive and you can't put material back.
I ended up with a 3" drop with levelled the truck on my first try. I cut half as much off the second set and only gained 1"...it's not a linear equation.
Also, measure the height at both rear fender wells before you start so you can adjust for any side to side discrepancies in your spring cuts.

so- here's what worked.
nothing.
I didn't cut anything and I still have almost a 2" drop.
I used Regular cab springs on a crew cab.
I am waiting for it to settle to see if I will do anything, but as of now, it is working out.
