I have a 18 Ram 1500 crew cab 4 wheel drive with 5.7. I lowered rear by cutting 2 coils. I would like to lower front a couple of inches but am confused on how to do it with no problems. Read about c-v angles and other things. Has anyone lowered their 4 wheel drive front end by a couple of inches? If so, how and how long have you had it lowered and have you had any problems? I'm running stock size 20 inch tires and rims . I . would also to know if I lowered front would I have to change shocks. I didn't have to on rear. If possible I would love to do this the cheapest way possible. Thanks

I lowered mine using dropped spindles.
No issues in the 10 years i owned the truck.
Do you actually use it as a 4X4,if not why not remove the front diff / front driveshaft and CV's,then you'll have no issues with your CV's,and you can run a staggered big-n-little tire set-up.
And no the front tires won't fall off without the CV's

Although it may cause extra rear tire wear depending on how much the fun pedal is pushed... LOL!

Why lower a 4x4? Sort of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?

You just won the dumb comment of the day award :Big Laugh: Little tidbit for you,the majority of 4X4's never leave the pavement,so why not lower it,if it's basically a pavement princess.;)
Your comment above is right there with it

Well, I’m smart enough to use punctuation, grammar and spelling properly.

If you want to do it cheap. I would say get the Belltech kit for 4WD. It has drop struts for the front that are adjustable. It will get you 3in in the front even though the website only says 2in. The manual for them says 3in. The right way to do it would be to get lowering upper and lower control arms. I did the IHC 4WD kit and with the 3/5 drop it road better then stock after an alignment. At the advice of Wild One I also pulled my CV shafts and then added the Belltech drop struts to the IHC kit. So I am at about 5-6in. in the front and about 7-8 in the rear. To be honest the ride was better with just the 3/5 kit, but I wanted to be lower.
