When I open/close the front doors on my 2500 they sound like a rusty gate hinge that has been left in the rain for a couple of decades. I have greased the rollers and contact points with not relief. Any ideas?

it's a bad design every ram on the planet does it...i use "fluid Film" on the door check roller bearing and it keeps it quite for about 6 months then have to spray it again.

I have used this stuff (see link) a spray white lithium grease. Other spray lubes have only worked for a week or 2 but the spray lithium lasted for over a year. I re-sprayed recently even though all doors were still quiet.

There is also a small modification you can make by adding a little plastic washer to the post/roller, folks swear by it. I haven't tried this, but if lithium grease isn't working...

Here it is...

White lithium grease is runny when it’s sprayed , but that helps it to wick and stick wherever applied , then it thickens and remains where intended.

Another option that i've used for years,is steal the wifes Pam cooking spray, and spray it on the hinges and rollers, just don't let her catch you :Big Laugh:

I give mine a squirt of 30 wt motor oil using an old fashioned pump oil can. Lasts 8 months or so. Paper towel to catch the drippings.

Some of you guys have obviously never spent days scraping and wire brushing spray lithium grease out of door laches, window rollers, tracks and winder mechanism in vintage cars. Damn crap sits up like weak concrete and eventually gums up the heck out of everything. White lithium grease in a tube might be OK. Spray white lithium grease on anything automotive is no bueno. Feel free to disagree - I’ve been there, done it.
