Hi everyone,
I'm having a starting issue with a 2017 1500 with the 5.7 and push button start.
Over the summer, I went to start the truck and got a click. Jumped it and got a new battery. Not long after I had the same issue. I would try to start the truck again and it would turn right over.
A member her suggestes changing the relay which I did and it seemed to have done the trick for a few months. This week the truck failed to started three times. Twice was during a remote start. Today I remotes started and it didn't start. Got in and got a solid click when I went to start it. Tried again and it turned right over.
I tested the relay and it tests good using my simple meter. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the starter solinoid? I don't want to get stuck somewhere so I'm leaning towards replacing the starter to play it safe. Truck has almost 80k on it.
Thanks,
Paul
