What should be the first upgrade for my 2014 5.7??? Exhaust? Tuner? Cold Air Intake?

Lost in the Sauce! I want to do this right the first time around, not break something and have to fix it to find out that wasnt the right choice of upgrade.

Ready to **** and git, getting anxious with the weather warming up.

Thanks to any and to all.

Tuner would be a great 1st mod to start with. Add a catch can along with it. Is tuning available for the 14's? I haven't kept up with that. All the ones mentioned would be good to start with though.

A tuner will wake it up, but then you'll start adding mods and then it's best to go with a custom tune.
I'd say do teh intake, exhaust- go for the whole shebang- headers, pipes, etc. then get the tune with a Hemifever tune. it will bring it all together at once.
Just my $0.02

Do nothing for a while and read the forums. I like you wanted to see what was the best thing to do. After reading that the gains are almost nothing, I decided to buy a lifetime warranty. Also be aware that the mods you are thinking of could/might give you warranty issues. Read on!!

tell us how much money you have and we can spend it for you...lol...best performance gains are tuner, long tube headers and torque converter if you have the 6 speed.

Tuner is going to be your best bang for buck upgrade. The Hemifever tuning is good for as long as you own the truck, so I would start with this, and then add your supporting mods afterwards.

fcbubba, we are seeing gains of 80rwhp/90rwtq from boltons and tuning alone and guys are dropping anywhere from 1.5-2 full seconds off their 1/4 mile times. Those are HUGE gains for any vehicle without major internal engine upgrades.

Appreciate all the good feedback guys. Someone mentioned that the 14's might not be able to be tuned yet?! Any truth to that? Im looking at dropping at least 5 G's right off the bat, but only if there will be no adverse reactions. Does the hemi fever tune come with all programmers or just a few said ones? if so, which ones are recommended? Im working with the new 8 spd tranny, dont know if that means anything as far as which upgrades will work and which ones wont.

I started with suspension. Functional and it'll look good. I order the bell tech 2/4 that I'll cut to 3/5, front and rear sway bars from Moes. Matt hooked it up, give him a shout. I also order the spohn adjustable panhard bar. I expect to have all my parts in next week and installed next weekend. I think it's a good starting point, all for under 1k.
