steels for summer?

Might be a dumb question, but just not sure. Is it a safe bet to leave steel rims on for summer or keep alloys?

If you have winter tire on the steel rims then you should switch them. Winters have soft compound rubber and will wear really fast in the summer heat

Well if you have alloys why would you want to keep the steel wheels on?

they're safe long as you're not running winter tires.

they MIGHT also be a bit heavier than the alloys, so the gas mileage may summer.
