Steering Box Adjustment

Just had my front end rebuilt with new Pitman Arm, ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends and front end alignment. After alignment, having issue with (1/2"-1") play in steering wheel. Is steering box the cause? If so, can steering gear be adjusted while on the vehicle? Thanks

i know this is for a 94 but im pretty sure that its still a similar design hope this helps
