Good day,
Follow Me On this as I try to explain.
I purchased and installed a Daystar 3” body lift roughly 4 years ago. I recently swapped out my lower steering shaft (mopar) and noticed my upper steering shaft (U joint) was also in need of changing.
Now, nothing with the steering shaft was touched with the 3” body lift When installed and I thought this was weird. Contacted Daystar and they confirmed no part for the steering shaft. anyways, I purchase the mopar upper steering shaft and go to install, 1/2 shorter and will not reach. The old upper shaft was stretched full (no give and not ideal).
my question is, is there a steering shaft extension for these 4th Gen Ram 1500s? Truck is a 2011 Ram 1500 CC sport 5.7 4x4 with the 140 wheelbase. I have been trying to locate a steering shaft extension and found one in the US. Any other options out there so I could compare prices? 1-2” would be ideal.
Thanks for any info!
